    Hi Folks
I have just bought a radius 21 from an antique dealer for £22 it needs new washers etc.It dates from 5 April 1939 I know this as it is stamped on the instruction leaflet as part of the quality control process.
I gave the cup washer a bit of a tweak and filled her up and away it went first time and was roaring away there was a fairly fast drop in pressure probably due to old washers !!! No leaks etc.
Should there be a jet wrench in the kit or is it an extra. The other problem is the tin is in a bad way there is a rusty hole and the handle has had it,Is it likely that I will get a better tin anywhere? Unlikely I guess.
The tank is pretty clean as you can see apart from one area around a leg which was near the rusty hole water ingress the problem, does this indicate that the rest of the tank still has its original lacquer on? so perhaps better not to polish it up generally?
I cannot move the lid on the meths tin so have soaked it in WD40 and will try again later any other ideas?
    Any thoughts or input welcome.

That looks great! A Radius 21 from a junk shop was my first stove and I will always have a soft spot for them.

    Hi Nick

All things can be repaired including the tin ,some tins here have been through a car crusher or so it looked & have still made it to the land of the living. As for the meths tin heat the lid gently with a small blow torch as its probably just sticky & just use a cloth to hold it while turning it off dont go too mad though.

Hi Nick well done what a great score for £22.00 the radius21 is a real beauty of a stove, i realy do like the graphics on there cases but like most metal cases are not all ways in the best condition but at least yours is not completely covered in surface rust
