    I got 2 pints of very stale paraffin free in a stove a few months back... how it didn't soak the package is beyond me!

    @Scrambler I'm not worried really. The guy had a few and asked if I wanted one opened or still sealed in box. I saw the opened ones but asked for a sealed box.

    I used to work for a company where we made optical devices. We were loaned a competitor's product to try. It was soldered into a metal box with a small window for a laser beam to emerge. The beam out the window was the thing we were supposed to be assessing. Of course we x-rayed it to see its physical makeup and did a x-ray fluorescence scan to see what the internal components were made of. It cost only a few hundred dollars for the x-ray work.

    All this talk of half bricks ..... just as well the box is not marked as if containing a Bat stove.

    Developing Nicola's comment further, the box might contain four stoves; Optimus and Primus variants provided for both Swedish and Norwegian armies.
