What is "Ignore"?

Nope, no hidden agendas here. I haven't used the "ignore" feature yet though there are some members who's posts I routinely skim over. I'm pretty tolerant but it's nice having the option to personally ban someone using the "ignore" feature should a real asshole come along. Unlike banning the "ignore" feature eliminates the asshole from my life not everyone's. If others get along with the asshole and find value in their contributions they can continue on. If they don't they can "ignore" them as well. Banning is one size fits all. Ignoring accommodates individual sensibilities.
