    Hi just joined forum thanks

After rebuilding a Optimus 8R the flame is burning yellow/orange. Had to reuse the valve spindle and nipple/orifice. The new parts mentioned did not seat and close properly.(leaked fuel) Did not replace the wick. TIA

"Orange" is often just burning off corrosion etc. Yellow can certainly be too rich. I would run it for a good while. Make a pot of coffee and see what happens
