111 white control Knob

111 paraffin with white control spindle, i have a theory why it's white,i also have photo's of a 111b with the same white knob but in a blue case but i will need to ask the sellers permission before uploading them

i reckon and i'll wait to be shot down in flames that the white knob replaced the green ones when the 111b was launched as it was cheaper to make one knob for both stoves and the green knob that Optimus had been using wouldn't look right on the new blue 111b's (if you look the early 111 paraffins are all green cases) i have pics on my hard drive of a 111b (blue case) with the white knob that teletim sold i missed that one twice btw
and i also reckon the reason the 111 kero went over to blue was it was cheaper for optimus to have one spray shop/line doing all the cases rather than keep with the green and blue and need two paint shops
then at a later date they switched to the red knobs for both models

 

well bang go's my theory i've picked up a 111b white knob in a green case early as it is embossed with optimus logo and 111b
it has no cut out for the tank latch and it's in the original paintwork so that shoots it down in flames
