Yesterday I found the stainless pan set from a Sigg Tourist. It matched up perfectly with a "dead" tourist set I had found at a yard sale.
I didn't think I would find anything today, but I checked Craigslist before going to work and in between my in-town trip and my out-of-town trip I scored this 123r with MINI-PUMP for 40 bucks! :D/ :D/ (BIG SMILE!)
The universe knew I needed another 123?!?

I took a pic of the flame after adding the water to my cup, but the flame is invisible. :-(
How do you guys get such great flame pics?

For the longest time I couldn't find a mini-pump. Now I've found TWO in about 3 weeks or less! Funny! :content:

A real 123 (non"R") I'll tell you the same thing I said to Ron, go fishing and the first fish you catch, pull the gold coin out its mouth.

No, this one is an "R". It has the cleaning needle. I have a non "r" on the shelf and I use it with the Taiwanese Tourist kit that I have. My original (non "r") 123 needs to be rebuilt to have the valve stem align with the windscreen. Someone (before me) did a "numpty" on it. :-({|=

edit- Looking back at the pic I see why you thought so! The illusion of an angled valve stem is pretty good! Not intentional though! It's straight perpendicular to the upright tube. Wow.

In the interest of full disclosure. When I went to pack it away as an all in one kit I discovered that the large stainless pan has a shorter wall than the original aluminum. This causes the lid to sit askew on the stove. I will remedy this with a flexible windscreen add on that will stand a little taller when packed in the largest pan, this allowing the lid to fit and leave a slight clearance for the Svea. (I hope!)

Randy, you seem to be picking up bits and pieces here and there. Eventually, most of "your" incomplete stove and kits will be complete. Just takes a bit of patience. Your the only one in this forum who has sole territorial rights as far as thrift shops are concerned meaning no competition

    Congratulations again buddy.

Randy, I would give a significant portiion of my anatomy to move back to Colorado but the Oil Industry is centered in Houston. De Oil Bidness bin berry berry good to me! Besides, I've been here long enough to sound native! :-$

Well, just as long as they don't think I'm from California, I can deal with it. 8)
