I don't know about her knees, but I've noticed she seems to flick (if that's the right word) her right buttock more than her left one. :-k So perhaps that is indicative of a problem lower down...

Never mind, I think I'll continue to study the symptom, rather than the cause, for a little while longer... ;)

Just thought I'd update on this stove and share with you all its first lighting.
It has light corrosion on some of the bare metal, there is an instruction label riveted inside the lid and a label riveted to the outside front of the lid.

Strangely, not as nice on the burn as my much more used one, not quite so even.

    Might need running-in.
    Handsome stove all the same.

Good idea, I think we'd got off the topic slightly ;)

Nice looking stove, I also have a 111 with a burner that "favours" one quarter, but haven't had the guts to tackle it properly yet.

    Hey, Jules,

Very nice looking stove! I think Ian is right. Maybe this one just needs to be used a bit, to get it where it needs to be. I'll bet that, after you burn it a dozen times, it will clear it's throat and roar with the best of them!! Take care, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
    Doc Mark

Astute observation, indeed. I believe , however, it is the hip joint that is going to develop trouble. And why is she walking away?

Yes, after extensive study, I came to exactly the same conclusion. She has some sort of problem with her right hip joint which causes an 'awkward' movement of her right leg during ambulation. Poor girl...

Is there a Doctor in the house ?

Perhaps she needs that hip joint massaged ... not all at once guys

Very nice stove, by the way. If it continues to mis-fire, perhaps you might consider an extended sabatical in pastaland for the poor thing

Sorry mate, I was about to take you up on your kind offer when I had the idea of using a needle file to 'clean up' the underside of the burner head on the lazy quarters, works well now so doesn't need a holiday in pastaland
