I cannot tell you where to get one but I can send you pictures of mine. It is in mint condition and I am not sure that it was ever used. I love them. I have one that I use and I must admit that it burns as nicely as any of the Optimus or Primus models that I have. Of all the brass stoves out there with the exception of the first edition models and maybe the Optimus 9, it is the hardest of them to find. There are two versions, they were also made in two places. Canada and the US. The US version is by far the nicer on. The Canadian built version is closer to the Primus stoves and the US built version is a clone of the Optimus 1.S. I would be happy to share if you would like a photo. It is as nice as the one the Guest had posted.

I forgot to mention that I paid a price more than $8. If you find one for that let me know, I will buy it for you.

Don't fret. Most of are always excited at the prospects of having the opportunity to pick up a new stove. It is sort of a cardinal sin to pull a post. But the stove is yours to do what you like. Actually this a great place to converse and there is a wealth of information on this site to be had. Come back and join us and you just might find out we are not all that different. Religious and Political ideology are not what bind us, the love of old stoves is. You have a nice one, cherish it, we do!

Let's get this straight........... This fella pulls a sleazy, underhanded trick on folks who bid in good faith on the stove he thought wasn't worth much. He comes here for a free appraisal and finds folks who think he's not being very upright at all. He then shows his true character and calls bigotted names and slimes people. Apparently sleazy, vitriolic little pismires have stoves, too.

"Guest," In ten or fifteen years, after you've had time to mature, come on back.

    I agree with Nordicthug
With the likes of him I could do well with out.
If some one here had said some thing to up set you It would not have been intended as such.
We are normal people that loves stoves. Not sarcastic and inconsiderate like you. What do you expect all of us to know every thing about every stove. We don't claim to be a know it alls. Not one person here claims to know every thing. When this times comes it is time to stop living, because you have nothing to learn.

I think you have a problem sunshine
As well as a bad mouth.
There is no need whatsoever to infer such nonsense.
Let's face it, you came onto this forum hoping to get a valuation so that you could make a fast buck.
If you are genuinely interested in stoves you couldn't pick a better place or a more friendly bunch. :D

Well, I must say I was a bit surpised by (the vehemence of) most reactions in this thread (on both sides). I for one second Ed Winskill's. Maybe the whole thing just demonstrates that eBay, even though it has its pro's, certainly doesn't bring out the best in people.

What that seller didn't realize is he would have gotten the same money regardless because Coleman collectors search every area of ebay.We would have found it where ever it was listed. The best examples of our Coleman are usually mislabeled. Now that he pulled it he hurt his chances and reputation on ebay.We track sellers just like you guys we know who is reputable and who is not. My, this went to shrapnel in the garden! I saw "Guests'" statement last nite and decided not to grace him w/ a comment or reply, from what I've read, I didn't need to.
By the way, Thug, you hit my sentiments exactly, I was just too p**sed off to bother.
Eloquant and to the point, beautiful.

    Evening, Buzz,

I do have a Coleman Solus, but have not seen another for sale, since I bought mine. That was quite a few years ago. I can look up what I paid, but it wasn't too much, if I recall. If I find another, Buzz, I'll give you a shout. Fair enough?

    Take care, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
    Doc Mark

You have to be on your guard you know. He was probably a member of the Nazi wing of Alkieda as well and wears a white pointy hood at weekends.
That gentle caring nature was just a front ;)

Isn't Alkita the name of the latest Ikea sofa?

It can easily be mixed and matched with any part of the Muhdjer Adeen suite, but isn't compatible with the Juden range.

I don't know, you guys... Guest was only trying to make some extra dollars and you had to goad him into using bad language. By bad language I mean his spelling and grammar :-)

    Cheers

    Hey, Dan, and All,

Though we are not official members of the LDS church, Sweet Bride and I attend Sunday services at our local Mormon church, and have for quite a long time. For this "Guest" to include the Mormons with the trash he did, just shows that he is a complete moron, and a "waste of skin"!! There, I feel much better, now!!

    Take, care, and God Bless!

    Doc, and All.

I myself am not really a church going man. I too have attended many LDS church meetings and have never seen any malice or malcontent toward anyone or any other belief. I found them to be good honest people with a stringent set of morals. Any person of any faith should never have been lumped into the same generalization let alone the same sentence. I guess it goes to show all that some among us worship nothing but the all mighty dollar, kroner, sterling pound, yen or whatever else they can spend and amass. I have a couple of those stoves in question, I don't care the value, intrinsic or otherwise. THEY ARE NOT FOR SALE. Keep it burning blue!

    Alberta Pete,

I admit to owning one of them. I have couple of them. I have found them not only to be as well made as any of the others but in some respects to be nicer, not to mention harder to get a hold of. I remember now, they made that model stove, with dissimilar body, in both the US and Canada. You might be talking about the one made up north! Keep it burning blue and we all have our vices, ours are them same, just a little different poison. What are you collecting. Regards,

    Rob
