Just get it from eBay ! Very dirty and missing inner and outer cap on the silent burner . Comes with various oil lamp bit and pieces . Recognised the spout on the side of the tank and immediately think Corona as I sold one a few weeks ago . Anyway cleaned it, new pump washer, washer on the spout and the burner , and after a bit of fiddling with the caps I get it working ! Pass the coffee test ! What I remark is that the burner is certainly not original and pretty high . I have a similar burner from Primus which is about 1 cm shorter . So next step will be to try with this one . Apart from that , no marking on the burner . The only marking are the Howes & Burley ltd, Birmingham England logo with Corona No 5 in the center . This logo is on the 3 faces of the stove . Now question for the masters ! As the spout is on the side , that should be an early one ?? Not much infos on the library and the 5 are with no spout on the side . So how old ?? 1910 ? 1920 ? Anybody get an original burner ?
I have no idea of production date, but that filler spout on the side is an interesting feature. With its height below the top of the tank, its purpose seems to be to prevent overfilling. Interesting and attractive stove. ….Arch
Hi, at the end of the pump ! I try to replace it but stuck solid , so let it be as soon as it works ! Regards
OK change the burner for an old Primus one a bit shorter and it was time for another coffee ! This time in my old Coleman mug bought in New York State when I was living there in 1997 !
