I received my shapeways order today. They look about twhat I expected but shapeways did seal the funnel in the middle which I cleaned out with a drill and a small half round file. Threading was easy but the threads are not quite as clean as with the Bakelite. Regardless, these work well on all my Enders. The washer I added is a cheap neoprene 11mm ID washer, 1mm thick. I hope someone finds this helpful and I’m just doing this for folks who want the option.

I have no interest in making money and quite frankly, I don’t care if someone wants to use and is perfectly happy with a $2 stainless funnel. I personally prefer the Enders style.
For what it’s worth, I did bounce one of these off the floor and it held up. I’m happy with the result as a first attempt.

    For gasket, look at Viton.

I couldn’t find viton easily with an id that would have kept this washer captive. Neoprene is resistant to fuel and these were cheap. I’ll, of course, see how it goes. I didn’t know what to expect, but there’s always room for improvement. I consider my work here done. I will not be making these for others, but I encourage others to attempt this if they are interested. It was easy to accomplish something functional. With more effort, someone better could be made, without a doubt.

Thanks @Tony Press . The easiest part was hand tapping the threads. While they didn’t cut cleanly, I could do it without cutting fluid and use only my hand to hold the funnel. So much easier than metal. Not something I do every day for sure

Like Tony says, nice work! I'd prefer these over the cheap ss ones for the reason I mentioned before. I do have one comment, the length of the 'tube' is shorter than the original, causing the fill level to be higher leaving less space for air. This may not cause any problem, at worst one would have to pump more frequent after filling. One more question, can you give some info on the silent cap on the Baby please?
And btw, it might be a lucrative idea for someone to make this type of funnel with different sizes of thread to fit different stoves (Coleman, Svea, Primus etc.).

    Looks good.
I have to admit that I made a 3D model too and printed it with my Weistek 3D filament printer.
I got the same "shutt off" problem and with using the thread cutting I managed to break the pipe off. Why did you make the pipe end shorter?

Last thing I have to figure out is how to get the "seal space" printed well.

@Jesse or somebody, is M12x1 correct?
The standard size I found overhere is M12x1.5 (metric fine).

I believe shapeways shortened the tube. When I measure the Bakelite funnel, the length matches my cad file. I suspect it’s a limitation of the 3D printing process I chose. Further evidence is how the tube is not round at the end (maybe if it was longer it would have collapsed on itself). I double checked the Enders again and to my eyes it looks like a pitch of 1mm. It does thread in well and there’s no evidence of cross threading. I admit, maybe 12x1.5 would work without cross threading, but I didn’t test that. It would just need to be tested. I got a cheap 12x1 die from eBay and it worked fine. It does exist and is relatively inexpensive

Lastly, the silent burner cap is a Berniedawg. I ground off the paw print because I enjoy subtlety.

I’m done with my work on this and urge anyone else to take it to the next step if they so choose to. It’s not exactly rocket science.

    @Jesse, thank you.
There is no limit as for 3D printing but somewhere the was a "cut off" ;-)

Here is my 1 result with filament printer:

Looks good @Petroman. Is your filament material fuel resistant? That’s one reason I chose nylon. I hope this taps as easy for you as it did for me and that it works well with you.

I used my design to load fuel into my 6090 with no issues. I was able to prime fine, but I didn’t light it up.

I doubt there was much thought at Enders in terms of the length of the funnel. I also doubt that most folks that use these stoves will choose to fill the tank to the max the funnel will allow. I personally never feel like I need to do that and just carry extra fuel. Of course these are just my opinions and based on how I roll.
