I have been doing maintenance on my Hipolito 0 and have a problem with how the windscreen sits.

Looking at the Hipolito 0 units on the current page in CCS there are about 15 or more model 0 and where I can identify the direction of the windscreen, all bar 3 are fitted with the large hole on the upper half. This means the Seahorse symbol is underneath. It looks to me in those cases that Seahorse symbol is upside down suggesting the windshield is facing the wrong way. I do realise though that it may make it easier to use the pricker if it was needed.

Here is how most of the images orient the windscreen with the hole up / logo down approach.

However, in a page on the parts, posted by @Tony Press HERE it seems to show all the parts correctly orianted with the windscreen adopting a hole down position, contrary to the majority of posts.

Looking at the Seahorse logo stamped into the windshield I reckon that it should be on the upper half facing what I think is the correct orienation (for the logo that is) and with the hole 'down'.

Here is the Logo of the Seahorse on a stove:

I think with the hole up approach I find that the flame spreaders do not sit fully (on their support ring) and the windscreen also doesn't really seat well on the spirit cup.

Here is how I think the parts list shows it and it seems a better fit for it and the flame spreader.

Here is the link to the only post (by @Miguel Chaby) that I could find with the windscreens with the hole down on the current page.

I note on Tony's list it is called a firescreen but on other instruction sheets it is referred to as a windscreen, so I guess either are correct.

Any thoughts please on the 'correct' positioning of the windscreen.

My vote is the large end to the base oriented.

I would guess the placement of the hole is to allow access to the priming cup and not the jet.

The logo, the flare on the wider end to match the flame ring, and the hole placement suggest to me that the hole should be down with the wider end up.

The lower end sitting just inside the priming cup may cause some flames to burn up the outside of the wish shield while priming, which would be a drawback to the design. Or maybe its not a problem, I don't know, I have never used this stove.

There is one listed on Etsy right now with the hole down in the pictures and it looks good to me.

    I agree with @GibsonsRavinePark2
Furthermore, it matches the drawing on the page posted by Tony Press.
