HMMMMM No matter what i do or how many time i try to edit this post, A gremlin decides to mess up the picture sequence. Well theres the stove done and a few before pictures too.
Nice stove and fettle. I've noticed that gremlin. Sometimes it also stalls on a picture in a sequence and won't go forward or back?

hello John The little fellow was stripped to its undies. The wick was akin to a chocolate teapot, so a new oil lamp wick was used. The burner bell is badly deformed and needed silver soldering around the neck. This i did at work as we have the equipment to do that,Plus being paid to do a homer is nice too. The tank paint is several coats os Plasti-kote Woodstove black. i really didn't want to paint the tank at all, as this would bury the near faded lettering and the pefect welding around the tank base. (this welding isn't seen on the later 34's)I preserved the bare tank and its details in photographs before painting. The steel casing was a bit of a challenge. After several trips in the electroysis bath, I had to try and get a good colur match to when it was issued. several tins of good old Humbrol paint was orderd and the paint trilas began. the final colur chosen was matt 91 A colour called matt black green !!! there is an RAL number for the German army paint used but it escapes me at the moment. The stove runs with a greenish yellow flame, i would like to try a new jet and am thinking of using one from a Svea 123, just to try. Its a very well used tired old stove, so i am not too bothered if it doesn't get to run like Roger bannister. so long as its been saved from near death, thats fine by me.
I have 3 Juwel 33 U`s with steel tank. One wich is stamped with eagle and date 1941. All of mine is painted in silver color. The windshield looks similar in color to your`s. I will put out some pics as soon as posible
