Hi. Recently I was working on refurbishing the Juwel stove. I noticed that it is very nicely preserved. While cleaning the tank, I noticed that there were a lot of small corrosion spots under the patina layer and steel appeared under the brass layer. Maybe someone knows why it was decided to use such economical production (2 WW)? Any other reason? Hi @Knee ,

Juwel 2 pint stoves not always have been numbered on tank, they were named by the burner… this should be defined as Juwel 1K because the roarer burner, it could possibly date early-mid 1930.

    Is it made of steel?

    Thanks @Nicola Francesco Elia
Probably yes. It looks like it's just covered with a layer of brass.
    Best regards.

You can test it with a magnet. Would be the first that I see made of metal with that tank style.

    Hi @Nicola Francesco Elia
Thanks for your advice. Now I have no doubt that the tank is made of steel.
    Best regards.

Hi.I have the same one, i bought at flea market.
The surface was rusty; once the rust was removed, everything became clear.
It is obviously that tank material is %100 made of steel. Remnants of the brass plating on the steel are visible. IMG_20260610_162252.jpg IMG_20260610_162313.jpg
