I’m trying to remove a dodgy NRV from a 1927 Primus 97. The tool I normally use is a sloppy fit over the valve head and I’m afraid of rounding it off. Is there a remover with a slightly narrower socket for stoves of this era? Or - any suggestions for improvising?
I like making my own tools and I don’t have a workshop. I looked up this problem just out of curiosity in this new universe in which I find myself. i found this :- Home-made Primus NRV tool which leads straight back to CCS.
@brassed-up Let it soak a couple of days in a 50/50 mix of acetone and Transmission Fluid. Works wonders
