I picked this up last week @ the Local shop of Antiquitys. It is missing some parts I thought that I would share my find and if anybody would like to take a whack @ it I will ship it out to you. I am not sure if it is worth the salvage but if somebody happens to have the extra parts fettle away. I thought about keeping for spares for my svea 123r but It is in nice shape and cant see myself needing parts.
Evening, Splitbus, Your offer is a generous one, but I'd advise keeping it. You may run across a junker 123R one of these days, from which you can filtch the burner basket, and flame spreader. Then, all you need to do is cobble up some "X" pot supports, and you're in business!! Doesn't that sound like fun??!! Of course, it does!!! 8) 8) Good luck in your search for spares, so you can bring this Opti 1K back to life, in it's original form. Check with A&H, they just might have everything you need!! DOC?? You think??? I am not sure that I even like the stove to put the effort into fixiing it?? It has no qualitys other than the optimus name that I even find appealing. I picked it up for 5 bucks with a folding pricker I think that I got my money out of it I think that it is a cheap knock off of a svea 123r. If I were to find a 123R that was a junker I would put the money into that to make it run not the 1000 Are you sleep typing? Maybe indulged in a little too much of the holiday spirit??
