Hi, I'd like to present this nice Optimus I acquired several month ago. It was patinated and very dirty, so I had to clean it just to make stamps readable. All parts including trivet were original. I'am not quite sure about the year of manufacturing - seems to me 1920 - 1924. The stamp on the bottom of the tank: Pump knob, vent screw and filler cap ( same stamp on both sides ) Original steel trivet: Exceptionally ( I never do such things ) I found for this stove cast iron trivet. Imo looks much better. With original trivet or adopted works great. Thanks for watching. Take care
Very nice @Stanisław Grajewski, lovely details on these older Optimuses (Optimi's? ) with the filler cap shape and single, diagonal knurling.
ahh another 1S "ORIGINAL" congrats! an interesting pc of history. thank you for detailed pics making this an excellent reference . to confirm/learn on-topic members would want to double check what i offer as quick recap and IIRC: these ORIGINALS were made at some point during 1923-32 by OPTIMUS but at a Danzig factory. fwiw your trivet on this one: not offered in 1921 catalog, not shown in 1924 brochure, for catalogs on CCS it first appears in 1932, an "indicator" that narrows yours to 1925-32
@Stanisław Grajewski An excellent example Stanislaw superb lettering especially the logo on the filler cap, the older the stoves the nicer and well made they are
I hope you keep the steel trivet. I really like that type, far better than the ubiquitous pressed steel sort. Very forgiving in use in various ways, but relatively difficult to source.
