There has been an Optimus 535 for sale locally that I've kept an eye on, this one is the marine version.
After going to take a look, it followed me home today. It seemed to make and hold pressure and the control knobs moved freely.

After spending some quality time in the Stove Gallery, I noticed it has different control knobs than most of the stoves in the SG, these are the thinner wafer style. The lower tray is marked Primus below the pump knob. The gentleman I got it from mentioned the fuel smelled like alcohol to him and he wasn't wrong. I was hoping it was set-up for parafin. I gave it a few pumps and opened the valves and filled the pre-heat bowls and pre-heated the burners. It's actually running in both of these pictures. One of the drawbacks for me, with alcohol fuel, is you can't see the flames. The left hand burner had some yellow flames for a bit then it calmed down and seemed to run just fine. It does have the blanking plug clipped behind the control panel, I didn't see a date. It's missing the pot containment rails it would have come with nd the pot support clips but it did include the gimbals and gimbal brackets.

It needs a light clean up but it's in decent shape.

The guy also had an older KampKook dual burner stove with some documentation but for today, one stove was enough.

Alcohol is the preferred fuel for marine stoves. Because alcohol is water soluble any fire can be readily extinguished using the water the boat is floating in. Gasoline and kerosene are not water soluble and will float on top of water making fires more difficult to extinguish.

BTW that's a fine stove, congratulations. The missing pot support clips and gimbal aren't a big deal unless you plan on using it on a sailboat.
