This is awesome. another one like it posted about same time. the first i recall ever seeing. i've learned as much about the Op 80 as most anybody and over too many years of looking i had not noticed the nickel offering. before this thread gets old and forgotten i add my CONGRATS ON THE SCORE to 2 members and mention it's more than enlightening, i think it's awesome. i wish i could have lucked into one when i was chasing down my Op 80s. thanks to you both for sharing.
Within a day three actually showed up. A used one on a auction site. Not much interest in these little guys. Duane
For some reason the Optimus 80 is one of my favourite stoves, along with the 8R. Happy memories of using them over 40 years ago, I suppose.
