I've an optimus nova and have found that it doesn't switch itself down when the bottle is turned to the off position. I checked to make sure the fuel delivery line is positioned correctly. What I have discovered is that if I blow hard down the fuel delivery pipe (the curved plastic pipe in the photo) I get air leaking out where the pipe joins the black threaded bit.

This suggests to me that when I turn the bottle to off, instead of air going down the pipe from the end which is now out of the fuel, fuel is still going down the pipe from the leak in the tube/lid joint. Does this make sense?
If it does, does any body know how that joint is made? Is it just a push fit, or maybe it unscrews? any help would be much appreciated.

I've had to epoxy/glue both of my pumps to keep the line in place. Easy fix.

Built up my confidence and had a good pull - push - twist of the tube. The plastic is threaded and screws in. I've tightened it right up now so hopefully it will be fixed. If it isn't fixed, i'll epoxy it as suggested.
    Thanks

not epoxi. or you will never be able to remove it. Just a very small piece of telon tape will do.
    Been there done so

I used bath sealant in the end. Didn't want to risk epoxy and couldn't find my ptfe tape. The paraffin doesn't seem to affect it (yet)
