Hi Ian, Great restoration. I picked one up in France a couple of years ago that was totally complete. Unfortunately when I came to restore it I found the control spindle had previously been snapped. I have the two halves - just unfortunately the business end is siezed solid in the valve. As the spindle is very thin (as you'll know) I've not yet worked out a way to remove it. Back to France for our annual roadtrip shortly so hopefully might find another one to rob for spares. Cheers, Graham.

Other than the size difference the profile and shape of your Pigeon looks like a rural postal route box in the United States. Only missing the flag on the side.
