    Hi all,

I have recently got my first classic stove, Primus 210, and I would like to get some information and advice from you gurus and masters.

    - My stove has some dents around the burner tube screw and some scrathes, but I don`t think that they are any kind of problem. Probly I try to remove them later. Its also missing a windshield and that srew wich seals top of the tank when burner is removed when transported... Anyway, there appears to be one big aesthetic problem... That screw for filling (tank lid?) wich has a tiny upper srew as well is a little bit battered - or they both are. It looks like someone has been tryin to open then with some ugly pliers. - So, I would like to get a spare - but where? ...Is that a mission impossible?

Also, what do you think, how common these earlier 210 models are these days? I know that later models (from 30`s) are quite common, but what do you think on those early ones?

Hi pivo welcome to CCS it would be great if you could upload some pics of your 210 to get major parts for stove is not mission impossible but can be very hard depending, you could try base camp the sites sponsor they may have the reserve screw cap for the tank and wind shield, or you could search on line IE ebay as i have seen verious parts of stoves for sale or even look out for a period donor stove that is in very bad condition and has major parts missing but has the parts you require

    Hi,

I haven`t yet started with my cooker... Anyway, I have one question related to Primus 210 and its history. According to some information 210 is follower of model 230 that was dropped 1915. So, when did model 210 appear? As far as I am aware, it has been produced before year 1915 - is that correct?

    Hi, according to Bryan Miller:

The earliest reference to the 210 appears to be in the C1912 catalogue.

Please can you tell me where Savo is?

    Best Regards,
    Kerophile.

Hi Pivo, You definitely need to post some pictures of the stove, and particularly the damaged parts that you hope to replace. I may have a reserve tank cap and a filler/Air release screw cap, but they may be much later models, so let us see what you need. Welcome to the best stove collector's site in the world. Steve.

So, I have started to clean my stove. This far I have polished the burner with winegar and cleaned tools and fuel tanks with phoshoric acid.

I forgot to apply the spanner box in this picture, but it does include the set.

Thin is quite rusty and dented, but I believe it can be cleaned and deformed with a little work.

As mentioned in earlier, tank lid and air screw are in horrible condition... Otherwise I think that cookers condition is rather good related to its age.

Great pictures Pivo. I think that the bits that I have are far too modern for your lovely Primus 210. Keep looking and I am sure that someone will be able to help. Good luck - Steve.

Thank you Shed-man. I`ll try to keep on looking for those missing parts. I haven`t yet checked the valve as I don`t have a tool for that - it might be original like washers - or the dust what was left of them... So there is a lot of work to do.
