Primus 96 (1937)

Luckily I was able to buy this little 96 one day. It came with a box and accessories.

The AB date stamp indicates production in 1937.

It has some defect in the form of a detached flame plate arm.

I cleaned the brass mesh and the inside of the lipstick from lingering carbon before starting it up.

After firing, the flame was pointing to one side, so I forged the opening a bit.

There was an improvement.

This 87-year-old grandpa still smiles beautifully despite his missing teeth.

I gently reamed with a pricker.
I inflated the tank and observed that the kerosene jet was about 90°.

Looks good. I have one of those rare flame plates. They work just as well as the more common ones.
