The two-pinters are multiplying. I’m a sucker for for an interesting looking stove on online auction sites.
I’ve brought an Optimus 5S of unknown age. It’s fitted with a regulated silent burner (probably a Primus one per the knob) and a fuel cap with a SRV in it.
It needs an outer cap and the seals replaced.
It also needs the regulator serviced as the shaft turns but the cleaning needle doesn’t move down from the up position.
It’ll be an interesting user when I get it going.

It's a great stove. The burner (except for the wheel) is not Primus - looks like it might be Svea (take a look at the top of the burner under the inner cap - it will say Svea if so), from the shape of the burner bowl. The filler cap is from an English stove and this stove dates from late 1940s (post war). By the early 1050s the trade stamp on the front panel had relocated to the top of the tank. The top leg profile indicates late 1940s. Peter

Hi. You have found a very nice stove with a good burner. As for the filler cap, I agree with @abbahco1 that it is from an English stove. Specifically from a 2 pint Monitor.
    Regards.

Thanks for the information. Sounds like it a bitsa stove. It’s an interesting bitsa at least. At least the price was right.
The burner has no stampings or engraving on it the I could see. No Svea under the inner burner cap.

Monitor 52 blowlamp/blowtorch has same filler cap as the one shown.
