    Good evening Ladies & Gentlemen

Sir George Kerophile & i have been working on a secret little project for the last couple of months involving lots of head scratching  , late nights in the workshop  ,strange rubbery moulding processes  , resin based trickery :D , carpentry of the simple kind , & pouring molten metal hotter than the fires of hell  8) 8) 8) & we have come up with these rare flame plates for the Primus 100 stoves & the dished Optimus 100 type too plus 96 plates & also the British SH&S thermidor 96 castings as well.

These plates are not made from the usual cast iron which will shatter on impact if dropped on the floor , but from malleable SG iron 8) which has a greater tensile strength , i have done this in conjuntion with my local foundry who have been superb with help & info & solid advice 8) .

Please be aware these are a very limited run , but if there is enough interest we may do a second batch of these rare plates. they will be for sale sometime over the next weekend after we have reached a final sale price.

I will put another post together when we are ready to go later this week/weekend

Here are some pics to be getting on with 8)

WOW! Now that is some phenomenal work! They even say "made in Sweden," a nice touch for someone wanting to restore a stove to its original Glory.

Damn! You two don't have enough to do! If the foundry can find some finer sand for the mold, or use a ceramic wash, the surface finish on the castings will be smoother. But those are just brilliant!

I reckon you are due for a knighthood to bring you up to speed with "Sir George", Stu. :)

Fantastic stuff. These last six months have seen some huge progress in creating and producing vintage replacement parts for our treasured old stoves. A big thanks to Stu, George and the rest of the "knights" who have put in so much effort.

    Cheers,
    Gary

I must admit to seeing these two weeks ago, I also own one. They are IMHO better than the originals :) . I will try and get an action shot with mine on my 96 today. I was so impressed with them, I cannot praise Stu's work highly enough.

What a brilliant piece of back yard engineering it's a pity Fred Dibnah isn't still alive he would have loved this, and it's nice to see a foundry alive and well.

Ian (Presscall) I think you've come up with the answer to an idea I've had for a while, a skiffle band for the odd night of entertainment in The Club House - Stu, George and the Flameplates ! In fact I'm sure I've heard them on Brian Matthews "sounds of the sixties".

    Cheers, Malcolm.

Stu george what can i say but congratulations to you both for all your superb and hard work in producing these rare flame spreaders, and i am sure you are going to have no problems selling them.
Usualy on the lipstick burner type stove the wind shield and flame plate are the first parts that get lost so i can see you both making another batch once again Stu and George well done indeed to you both
