I bought this on evilbay, very lucky as it is a fine fettle, and comes with the spanner, pickers, windshield and instructions. I added some paraffin and she lit up first time. The tin is in good shape, but without any graphics or markings, just as the stove, which only has the sticker on the body. It still has almost all of the lacquer coating.
I must admit that the door feature peaked my interest when I was looking at this stove. To begin, it will live in it's tin (next to the Monitor 17B), whilst I decide wether to strip and refinish it, or leave it's patina as it is, and put it on the shelf 'set up'.
That is a very nice outfit indeed. The lack of "permanent" branding on either stove or tin suggests it is one of the later models, mid 1960's maybe, when RM was owned by Samuel Heath and Sons and they were knocking them out as Veritas, SH&S B, or RM brands and maybe others as well. The plain red tin parallels that which Optimus were using for their own brand and Primus branded products post 1963. Dean
