After acquiring my first mint Optimus 111B. I ordered myself an Optimus Svea 123R. I just love the simplicity and effectiveness of these things. Can't wait for my Svea 123R!
Welcome. Just a couple of stoves ! Ummmm , without intending they will grow to who knows how many. Seriously it's all good fun, you will be able to research and fettle to your hearts content. Cheers Rob
Coleman suitcase and then some Mil-Surplus like M1950 or Coleman pocket stove then you'll drift to the dark side and get some spirit burners and then spiral downwards into the gassies... Hi, my name is Andy and I'm a Stove-Aholic Welcome aboard @Stovetop79 but this 12-step program is more likely to enable your addiction.
@snwcmpr, Like Ken said, then what? Enablers here, posting pics and info on really neat stoves. Duane
I just got a Primus 210 and had the most fun with my kit of parts getting it up and running yesterday. Oh did anyone mention the parts and tools you need to have on hand? Start a list of those too. Not much really. I used to get a stove, order the parts, then fettle it. So much better to already have what you need when the stove magically appears on your porch. Ivan
And then there are some stoves that having only one isn't enough. Sievert 123, Optimus 8, 11, 111, etc.
123's are like tribbles, near as I can figure they're born pregnant. Sometimes they revert back to 71's or morph into 80's
I love camping stoves because when you light some even in the worst wheater condiitions and you ear the sound of the flame and the water boiiliing you feel comftable ...liike if you were in home.
@Stovetop79 'Tis an addiction... a disease....and the worst of it is you may infect other members of your family and friends!! Welcome!
I promised myself to stop after my second M-1950, but then on the bay found a Coleman 400. Had to have it to match my 400A from 1987. Ouch. and a Merry Christmas to all! Tom
Ha ha, it does infect relations and friends , so far as I can tell recently i have infected four , they have all now got preasure stoves after me useing them. Strange thing most had gas ones and did not use them. Very quickly they learned to use mine. Cheers Rob
