    Hi Trevor, you have a very nice "mint" widshield there.
    Is it possible that the lettering/numbering refers to a a part number rather than a Patent Number? Valor certainly used part numbers in the 4000-series
    It is difficult to see how Valor could convince a Patent office that a windshield design is new, inventive, useful and non-obvious.

    Looking at the windshield again, you absolutely right.

    It says "PT No 4572" and not "PAT"

    Do you know if other British two-pint stoves came with this kind of windshield - is there a 'Monitor' and 'Thermidor', etc.??
