    Found at an antique shop in Connecticut last week. Bottom date code letter O (1925) The pot stands I made and I had an extra flame spreader so now it needs a leather cup.

    @Doug L

    That’s a great find, and a good Reference Gallery addition because it must be quite near the end of production of the 221 with the fixed “feet” rather than the later fold out feet. Yours is 1925 and the 1927 examples in the Gallery have the folding feet.

    Cheers

    Tony

    @Tony Press
    Somewhere here I read that 1925 was the last year of this style fixed feet at least for model 221.

    I've always felt that those fixed feet were far more in keeping with the 221, and that the later fold-out type were a retrograde step, far less robust and less practical.

    especially with a stove of this size - having the fold-out legs is a bit more practical on say a 96.
