My wife and I were up at north shore of Lake Superior camping last week. Found this along the way. I knew it was a Basford but am looking for more info. I have seen the pictures and posts in library however they do not match this. Found a note by searching this site and believe it is a Model 2. Measure's at 11" x 22" x 4".
If someone has info or can confirm that would be great or date range. Hope to finish cleaning up everything and polishing brass tank soon.

This had a little fuel in it after a quick check of burners and wiping it down it fired right up. Will post more after cleaning.

If it works you have to use it so we made breakfast one morning with potatoes, bacon and eggs IMG_3227.JPG IMG_3228.JPG
Also had the hand pump and funnel, and auxillary burner key inside of it.

    Thanks

Oh my that's beautiful, I'm drooling all over my keyboard. Did you look at Terry Marsh's site? Might search the Coleman Collectors Forum as well, it's not just Coleman stuff.

Looked over on the CCF site, appears to be same size. However mine is brass fuel tank and is piped with brass fitting/ nipples to fuel control valve. Not tubing as this one has. Cost saving measure to use tubing and steel painted fuel tank?

Found that my pricker rod is too short by about 1" so no simmer or low fire control. Pricker wire is still there but she is full flame with valve barely open

    Thanks for the info

Pretty simple to fix prickers, I rigged an AGM pricker/rod to work in a Goldberg stove. Is pricker broke? Wrong generator rod?

    I'm still drooling.....

It is wrong generator rod, I have other spare generator rods that I can make work with same rod diameter needed. Also have the dies to cut and rethread to correct length.
Will clean up more and post some shots when done

I have its twin, brass tank and all. I’m missing the warmer rack but otherwise the same. As you have found, scant info on the Basford out there but what little research there is I would put it 1925-29 date range. Best reference I’ve seen is a YouTube video. Just search BASFORD on YouTube and should locate it. It is my very wishful guess that these brass tanks were earlier rather than later. This model also has shorter legs than in the ads. Mine is a forest green but that is a repaint. It is a great running stove once you have the lighting sequence down. Great find.

Thanks for the info MartyJ, looked that up it was interesting to watch. You are correct very little info that I could find.
I have finished repairs and cleaned it up. I believe from what have found it is earlier then that, most pics I find have a cooper or brass tube from fount to valve this one is all piping and brass. I was able to make a new pricker rod as old one was not long enough about 1.5" to short so no control for low flame or simmer mode. Now is working alot better. Not sure who tried to do what with such a short rod length.
I will be enjoying this alot on camping trips in the future.

Your stove is a model 2. I have the same model it is on The Terry Marsh Gallery look under Stove Manufacturer alphabet listing with the letter H as it was manufactured by the Hugo Mfg Co.

I have seen that one also on Terry's site. I do think mine is a slightly earlier version due to left burner control is not a lever but a skate key that is inserted into a hole on the left side. Also mine is piped with actual brass pipe with an elbow and not bent
    tubing.
Here is a pic of the skate key.
