Here's a Coleman Camp Oven with model number 5010A700 with the box. My favorite wife found this at a yard sale for $5USD. I about fell on the floor when she gave it to me. It's a sheet metal oven with thermometer and a metal rack that can be adjusted to different heights. I used it the other day to bake some potatoes and chicken, which all turned out really nice. It is recommended to wrap the whole thing in aluminum foil to retain as much heat as possible. Being able to fold it up and put it away is probably the best feature.

The box looks rough but is actually quite rigid and is made of very thick card board.

Open the latches to allow the oven to be unfolded.

After unfolding the walls, pull up on the top.

Here's a shot inside after the top is put up and the bottom has yet to be lowered. There are slots at the bottom of the wall that bottom's tabs go into. The top has them too. Make sure to close the latch on the front for the bottom and the latch on the back for the top.

Rack installed. Many positions can be had. Uh, oh, looks like I've installed the rack up side down. My bad. With any weight on the rack, the tabs will slip out and rack will fall...

Your "favorite wife" did great! Paid 25.00 for mine, just like yours with a little less wear on the oven.
    Nice oven Sam!

A little off topic, but I have the same watch you're wearing in one of the above pics. I can tell from the band alone, as I've never seen that particular band on any watch other than my Seiko kinetic circa 1997.

On topic, I always wanted one of these ovens when I was younger because my Scoutmaster had one. No-one ever obliged for Christmas or birthdays so I made one myself out of salvaged barn boards, door hinges, and old roofing tin nailed to the inside. It never caught on fire, but definitely could have benefitted from a thermometer. I should look for that thing.

    Hi Jay,

Yep, you nailed the watch. It's a Seiko kinetic all right. I can't remember when I got it but '97 sounds about right. Still running on the same battery and it is still at 6 months of charge. My previous was a kinetic with wind up spring that lasted for 20 years. This one is still going strong at 13. It's been worth every penny my wife spent on it! :-$

In another post, I have an oven that I made out of a file cabinet. See it here. I used that for quite a while before I got the fold up kind. The file cabinet's only fault is that it doesn't fold down. Otherwise, it's the perfect oven, especially for potatoes.
