Found a Optimus 8R

This is me fourth pack stove a 8R. Just found it on Craigs list and couldn't resist, it was only 10 minutes from my place and very affordable.

Can anyone tell me its age, I'm guessing mid 70's. Also should a pump from a svea work on the 8R?

 

Nice find! And yes, the pump (and accompanying fillercap) used on a SVEA 123 can also be used on the 8R.

Thanks Guys. It seems to run fine but I do have some cleaning to do. And some more questions.

Did the 8R's usualy come in this color?
Are all they all considered "Hunter" models or did they make a few slightly different models?
