I have accumulated a nice little collection of German gazoline stoves from pre WW2 and up to the 60s. If somebody out there are out for buying these types of stoves for use, I'll recommend the Juwel 33. I have been fettling my collection and the conclution is that the Juwel 33 is the best ever gazoline stove for it's size. If you get hands on one with brass tank you've struck gold When you dismantle Juwel 34 for instance it's a lot simpler in construction. The ARARA 37 is the second best, very sturdy construction indeed. The jet on the ARARAs is second to none, I have two complete and one without lids. They all burn with clean blue flame after all these years with the same old jet. Both the ARARA 37 and Juwel 33 are really good with steel tanks too, only disadvantage is more maintenance to prevent rust. All these WW2 stoves fit nicely inside the Trangia stainless mess tin from the Swedish army with place left for alcohol bottle beside it. If we stay in German stoves, a little bigger but I like the Geniol (not for backpacking) :-) And I have a special German Enders in a few minutes.
I have come to fancy all things German, stoves, autos, food and more I own a Jewel 34, more than a dozen Enders 9061s formerly a Heinz Geniol and 5 Volkswagens, not all at one time.
Only 5 Volkswagens? Hell, I've owned 39 of them, 5 of them at this time, two of them to be cut up for parts soon, however. Owned several Walther, Mauser, and Dryese pistols over the years as well. Murph
