Hi Grebby, and welcome to the forum. Sorry about the Caterham. I've got a mini in the garage under a pile of drywall and OSB. Let's hope time and money allows us to drive them again!

Good on you for getting a 111. You'll soon have it sorted. On the subject of the NRV, you can also try pouring a small amount of kerosene down the pump tube before pumping.

Sometimes the reason for the nrv's malfunction is dirt in the mating surfaces of the valve. The kero will flush it out. This trick doesn't always work, but it's worth a try before pulling the NRV altogether.

It's still a good idea to get one of Stu's NRV tooks, though, they're very good.

I have contacted Stu and am getting some bits from him :)

The caterham will be back on the road sometime. I just need to free up space in the garage so it's going to stay at my parents for a bit. Probably until we move house. After a good break the grin won't be removable for a week after the return blat

I got it fired up and discovered that its burning a bit yellow for my liking  but I suspect that it's probably due to the fuel

It's been sat around for 4 or 5 years and there is probably some water still knocking around in the stove from when it got dunked.

I also discovered that I can't drive my camera  but here is the best shot I got. |imgRemoved|

    Cheers

Hi Grebby, looks like a powerfull flame! Some (dis)colouration can indeed be caused by old fuel. Probably after a good rinse of the tank, and burning a tank (or 2) of clean, fresh fuel the yellowish flames will disappear. This is rather common with a stove that has been stored for a long time with fuel in its fount.

    Best regards,

    Wim
