What does Nickel like this cost on a similar stove? I don't have the tools to do it myself.

Nice work. I suspect some of my nickel 96’s have plated burners and priming cups.

The materials? Two nickel rods or flat bar, four inches in length, rod a quarter inch in diameter, bar of similar bulk (dimensions aren’t critical) - twenty dollars maybe? White vinegar and a pinch of household salt for the electrolyte. Low voltage power source).

You've done an outstanding job of plating those stoves @presscall. Thank you for sharing.

Did you leave the fount assembled with the filler cap on, and burner valve closed when plating, or did you disassemble the stove and plate the parts separately?

As in the heading photo, fuel tank/burner (less bell)/fuel cap assembled: windscreen with heat shield removed, both those components plated separately. I plated the burner bell separately but without too much hope that the plating would remain intact over time due to its getting red hot in use. In fact, acresidue of plating remains on the bell still.

Yes, valve closed during the plating.
