    I've decided to post this spirit stove and pan set under France as the stamp Paris Bimetal suggests the original manufacturer was French. It was however imported to the UK probably for the military market.
    The construction is mostly silver lined copper with some brass where strength is needed. It has a lovely wooden handle that is held in a threaded brass ferrule by a pin that is peened at one side. I assume the pin should be peened on both sides as the handle is a little loose on the side without. This arrangement screws onto a male thread on the side of the pan.

    The silver lining is in remarkable condition, and it even includes the lid lining.

    The stove, stand and handle all pack away neatly into the pan.

    The stove part has a tank, a central burner that screws out enabling the tank to be filled with spirit and to one side a small wheel that causes and lowers a collar to adjust the flame. A copper cover screws in place over the entire burner when not in use.

    The pot support is brass and and copper...

    Either side of the handle thread are two stamps...

    The Internet can be a marvellous thing and a little searching unearthed this information.

    I felt this lovely set deserved a leather case so I decided to take the opportunity to try some new techniques, butt joints and box joints to put one together.
    I originally thought I'd just do a lift off lid but having made that I realised it might be picked up by just the lid and the bottom part of the case might fall damaging the set. So I added a hinge and clasp. The clasp had the added benefit of covering the protruding thread that rather spoilt the lines of the case.

    @The Warrior a lot of similarities in the construction of the pan and pan support. Your set has the advantage of having room for the additional spirit can, something not possible with the type of handle mine has.

    @Robert Radcliffe
    I'am not a fan of spirit stoves ( excluding spiritburner :) ), but this one I wish I had.
    Congratulations! It's marvelous!

    @Robert Radcliffe

    The shape of the alcohol stove is beautiful, but the leather case is the best. Did you make it?
    That's amazing.

    I love the leather gloves I bought on my honeymoon in Italy and still wear them today.
    Italian leather products are amazing.

    Yes, I did make it. I'm an amateur leatherworker and one time knifemaker. Like you I'm a lover of leather goods, especially Italian. I'm pretty sure this set would have had a leather case originally and the lack of one may be why I got it at a bargain price.
    I really enjoyed making it, learnt a lot and the next one would be better in several aspects.

    @gnome many thanks and as is often the case with me I couldn't help adding a little more colour detail, with a bit of black for contrast...
