Well after a year or two I've finally found one, it was for sale on "The bay" and listed as spare pans to go with a bitsa Trangia. I got it at a very reasonable price I've just go to dig into the shed and find a working 88 to go in it. Once I've made a bag and strap for it I'll be using it in the woods for a while. I'm very surprised how small the whole kit is and light weight (With out the stove).

She is a bit battered but I'm sure with a hard wood block and some gentle persuasion I'll manage to get the shape back also a bit of a good polish me thinks!

These are to two things that gave it away in the listing, Optimus pot grippers, you don't see many of them around and I'm lucky this set came with two, result.

Eagle eyed and got the reward, good for you Si. That'll be a working Opt 80 you'll be searching for in the shed.

    Hi Si, John,
I enjoy your posts. Note that it is the Svea 123 123R that goes inside your kit.
The 80 is taller than the 123.

Remember and anneal the aluminium before taking the block of hardwood to it. Just rub it with a damp block of soap and heat it until the soap goes black. It might be best fixing an area at a time. A small blow torch or another stove would work well for heating.

Your right about the 123 @OMC , I have two or three some where but it maybe quicker to buy a new one. Thanks for the tip @BigScott, I have a friend who welds aluminium race car frames for a living so he'll be doing the reshaping for me.
