With the main focus on other things to do for quite some time now, I think that 'once a collector, always a collector' rings true for me!
When I found out an unusual Phoebus 100 was put up for sale on a national dutch advertising site,I realised there was already an early reaction with a serious bid on it, but it still was there.

When asked, the owner appeared to be lost in alkinds of fears, and unwilling to mail.
Unreasonable of course, and always a frustration for a serious and reliable buyer.

So, cash on collection it was, ánd in daylight!
Enough to put me off, were it not for the unique stove offered.

To make a long story short, it finally got here to be included in The Gallery, but unfortunately no history of it's former owners.
The alloy box is the most remarkable feature of this stove, while the mid-sized trivet is also unusual. The vulnerable alloy is basicly free of real damage, while the stove has obviously seen little use; it is bone-dry, perhaps for a 70 years already!

The engraving is partly crisp, and partly vague, seemingly a process in seperate steps.

The satchel with the 3 original prickers has also russian text on it, that to my mind indicates a pre-war manufacture.

The trivet (Ø 16,7 cm) and burner are branded, while the flamering and wrench are nameless.
By now I wonder which self-respecting stove manufacturer did NOT make a model 100 of sorts!

Once a collector, always a collector, absolutely true for me too!
Very unusual trivet and tin. I still have yet to run across a Phoebus brass stove. Congratulations!

Hello Mike and a nice unit you have there. The good condition aluminium case is a bonus as well.
The flame ring on mine is unbranded and I thought that it may not be original but I think that that is the way they come. I have another Phoebus roarer burner that came with the same unbranded flame ring. Cheers, John

Hello Matt: keep your fingers crossed, they are out there somewhere, with the model 30, a 1-pinter in a colourful tin showing up on Ebay now and then. Some non-collapsable household models do turn up too, on the same dutch site as a matter of fact. Gimme a mail if interested.

Hello John, we seem to 'get together' whenever the 'unusual' stuff passes here! To round out the description: the bleeder screw is also marked 'Phoebus'. Do you have such an alloy tin as well?

    Regards, both,
    Mike

    Hello Mike.
The aluminium case that you have is something I never had with mine.
The Phoebus No.1 stove I have is partially collapsable only at the trivot supports, not at the burner riser. Why?? I do not know except possibly for fitting a heater dome and reflector dish; yet it stands about the same total hieght as what other No.1 & No.5 brass stoves do.
    Regards, John

    Hello stove lovers,

I do not think it is a problem I continu this topic, we are talking about the same brand and number.
As mentioned before on the forum I bought four stoves las week and one of them is an Phoebus 100, made in Austria.
Without the aluminium case and the inner and outer burner caps are missing.
There are a few differences with the stove as shown in the pictures above.
Mine has a different fuel filling part, no pressure relieve screw aside but quite common filler cap with the pressure relieve screw on top.
And the pump knob is different in that way it has a threaded hole on top.
Observe that the ring the inner and outer burner cap should rest on is more shaped, curved on this one compared with more common brands, I suppose when I am ready to give the Phoebus a try I can use some inner and outer burner ring from Primus?
And in contrary with the Phoebus 625 and 725 this stove likes paraffine?

Older thread, but here goes: The 725 is petrol only, the 625 can use petrol or paraffin depending on which jet or nozzle is employed. Forget how these are marked, but should be stamped into these little thingies; check further on this site. All brass Phoebi run on paraffin afaik, so including this classic model 100. I think the inner and outer caps of most silent burners are interchangeable, so any of those will likely do. Nice to have this non-common model 100, and since so many makers did produce the type, this could warrant a collection of these discus stoves by themselves!
