My dad phoned me the other day, stating that he had found a 97, with paperwork, windshield and the lipstick burner. Over the moon, he brought it home for me to examine it. Like Dutchmike has stated, this was the deluxe version and the most expensive choice at the time. From what I've heard, the nickle plated version was also more expensive than the brass one. I can see why the original owner bought it. A sturdy tin, high quality tray and a nickle plated stove to boot. Next is a picture of the lipstick, date marked AC1, which is correct for the stove! The next pictures show the excellent quality of all the parts. Tin with markings ''Primus Sweden''. Before 1936, the stove had a specific case, but after 1936, Primus stopped doing this, presumably to reduce costs. It was then time to put the stove to the test. Ofcourse, with any Primus, it performed very well, and had a steady and nice blue flame: I'll be back shortly to post the remaining pictures.
Here are the remaining pictures of the stove. After the preheat, the stove had a very nice blue flame. Once it was up and running, I braved the snow and took some pictures to share with you. This is the south of Sweden as of yet... It boiled a litre of water fairly quickly. And finally some pictures of the instructions. I believe the latter one is for the Primus 41, but am not sure, so would like to get some information before I put it in the correct gallery. Frank

Hi I think you may have found a very unusual stove. I have only seen 96s and 210s as Sportsman's outfits Congratulations on a very nice find. When I sold my stove collection the most expensive stove was a nickel plated 96 Sportsman's outfit so if you sell it I would auction it as I got a shock at what mine brought Regards Bryan
Beautiful stove and pictures, thanks for posting her! I love these sport versions with the strong steel case, very robust and protect their contents well. They'd use pricker #4122 (.23 mm) and the burner bell appears to have the little flange to help prevent it slipping down the vap tube when heated/running. Very interesting burner instructions too.
Same size tank as a 210 with the same burner fittings as a 96. Short legs to suite burner height Regards Bryan
I thought the nut portion of the Lipstick may have been plated as well, but it hardly seems worth it considering the temperatures the top of the burner would see. Alec.
