    It's good to know that I'm not the only one reporting stuff! :) I wonder who reports things the most? - If it's not me, I bet I'm right up there! - well, on CPL, anyway, and not so much here :p

    What are the most common reasons for reporting a post? :-k

    David, at CPL, the most kind of reports are probably about broken links.
    Here on CCS, it's often about broken links too, but also many reports about mis-placed posts (wrong section).
    One big difference otherwise, is that here we have much more reports from people who are upset about another members posts. We don't get much of that on CPL.

    In here you definately play in the minor league :lol: There are several persons who post more reports than you.
    But as you say, you probably are in the "top section" at CPL. But far from the absolute top!
    On a hunch, I'd say possibly in the lower end of top five.

    Ross always adds a thank you. So I get the idea that the owner appreciates the reports. I prefer to make him happy than not.

    On the one occasion on CPL when my report was unsuccessful (in my view at least, as blatant a case of posting in the wrong forum as could be), I'd have appreciated a notification giving the reason 'why not'.

    But it's good to know when the issue has been resolved... :)

    I don't believe I've ever reported a post.

    @Ed Winskill

    The “Report” function is very useful if something is posted in the wrong forum; if there’s an obvious error in the title that would inhibit a future search; if a person asks for something to be fixed in the thread, rather than by “Report”; or if the post is actually a bot or malicious to the site.

    Right. I have a couple of times called attention to one thing or another like that; though I think it was in a comment in the thread itself. I certainly see the usefulness of the function.

    Ed, that work too since we try to read everything in here, and sooner or later we will read that comment in a thread, or spot the 'anomaly' ourselves, and make the corrections if needed.
    The main difference with the report button is that things often will be taken care of faster since we get an alert.

    @Ed Winskill & @Christer Carlsson

    ... and that shows that the Moderator works very hard here — and at CPL.

    I pay my grateful respects!:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

    Cheers
