Has anyone purchased one of these and does it work? It is for a Russian 8R Clone and it replaces the Burner bell with This Silent One.

I'm Not !! That is why I am asking. I do not usually deal with Russian Stoves.
Why would you think I would be an Expert in This ??

could be done from shmell 2 burner with late
    main question is "whats for"...
losting power - bigger thermal mass
    wind factor
the only one reason is - use pt1 indoor
but pt1 has too small tank capacity

    Gieorgi,
it would be used in a semi-enclosed area. is it worth the effort to Put on a silent burner. I own 5 Pt's and they work good and wanted to try this. But if it is just a Gimmick and not a powerhouse burner then it would not be worth it. I would just keep them all as Roarer burners.. Your thoughts??

I tried a Phoebus silent burner on my Optimus 8R and it didn't perform well. Too big of a thermal mass to keep hot. I think that would also be the case with this setup.

Echo, if you want a silenced Russian get a BernieDawg mini cap for the PT-1. You could use it on an 8R or 123 too. Also, the enders silent burner from a 9061 or 9060D screws onto the 8R and performs well.

I will hands down admit that my respect for Russian stoves like PT-1 and PT-2 (Ogonek) and the old Juwel family have grown considerably after @gieorgijewski was kind enough to help me get a PT-1 and 2.
They might lack the finish and the name - but measured in efficiency and reliability - I have no problems in using both as some of my regular “Go To” stoves.
That is also the reason why I am so happy (and proud) that @gideon made me a silence cap for my PT-2. Because I like and trust the stove.

    Rickybob,
More then I paid also. I was just looking into it . I like the Idea of the silent burner as I take it camping and hunting. the roar scares off the animals in the morning and the PT is small enough to put in my Ruck ( kit ) .So I might spring for it and see how it works. I was initially asking if anyone owned one but I have not had an answer yet. if someone has one I would like to know how well it works. if not I have the Bumble Russian stove with a silent Burner but again it has to fit into my kit
    Thanks

imo - could be "good enough"
    main problems:
    1. this versions need better preheating
    - especially in low temperature conditions -> deeper spirit cups - with/or spirit cups wind shield
    - below - -7C - use - tank preheater cup could be needed
    2. "normal" pt1 is "one man pocket stove" with tank capacity and pot size limitation
    - shmell burner provoke to use larger pots - do not do that - it could generate too much heat in the tank in "long time burning"
lower power - gives bigger (a little) fuel consumption
    - moore spirit for preheating
    3. use stove with wind shield - very importand

    Thanks
All very good Information. I don't see a way to enlarge the spirit cup so 2 pre-heats should get it hot enough. I have a metal plate with a hinge same size as the PT outline so it works good and packs up good in my Kit.
I think I will go for the Money and try it out. I have 4 others that will stay as Roarers and soon I will have 1 with a silent burner
Thank You G for this good information

if You think to get "good tool" - do not think about "twice preheating"
use carbon felt or glass wire with thin brass tube as burner wind shield
