I bought this Shinabro 170-GR on ebay a couple of months ago. It looked in a bit of a state.

After a bit of cleaning and paint it now looks far better

Can anyone tell me why the spindle for the control knob does not line up with the slot in the box? There doesn't appear to be anything missing.

It works ok but doesn't seem to have a very powerful flame.

What are you running it on? Have you replaced the filler cap gasket?

Also, only your flame shot photo displays.

    Mmmmmm.....
I can see all the pictures except one! :?
Do I need to start from scratch, or can I add them again now?
It's running on Aspen T4. I hadn't had it running more than about 5 minutes when that shot was taken. Would that make a difference?

Check the alignment of the hinge and drop down flap that holds the tank -- these can get knocked out of square pretty easily. I have used a rubber mallet to delicately adjust mine.

Yep, flame should get bigger as the stove heats up. Over filling the tank can slow the process. And as David said, an old gasket can prevent pressure from building properly.

With a pan on it would burn higher because the tank would be warmed by re-radiated heat from the base of the pan. I reckon its probably fine, try frying some sausages and see how it goes.
