Dogey looks ok to me, who knows what they are thinking but it’s love, food or playing. They love unconditional, great friendship.
Is it a Yorkey or some other sort of terrier.

    Cheers
    Rob

It’s a good age. Old but still active. My Meekey lived to 15 then had to be put down due to a stroke and not being able to get up.
    A lovely dog

    Cheers

Just got a few bits for My trangia from the Trangia web store. They have just opened it up for the whole of the EU .€15 flat rate postage via DHL . Took Trangia a couple of days to pack and then 3 days before it was at My door, even chucked in a pack of sweeties and a couple of stickers! The exchange rate must be good from swedish krone to pounds. I priced it up as €65 , the shop works in krone, and I got charged £43 ! Even including my banks iffy exchange rate !
Might be a better option than getting gear via Holland. As Sweden isn't an EU country, this route shouldn't change at the end of the month either, hopefully.

Sweden is EU - Norway isn't!
Norway is an EFTA member with very intimate EU connections making it amost EU but not really, most times it just complicates their relations to the rest of northern Europe.

With BoJo in charge You will be as distant as the 'murricans very shortly...
No! Sweden is very much a EU member, and mostly a very satisfied one to that. (Some 68+ percent of the Swedes view it as a very good thing we're an EU member state!)

But, just as Denmark, we're not part of the single currency system. So Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Iceland still have their own Kronor currencies - Finland tossed the Markka and now use the Euro. (And all, but Iceland?, are also Schengen members. Yes including Norway who is not a EU state. Free movement of EU Citizens includes travels to Norway...*)

So, as I said earlier: With BoJo at the helm navigating towards that daft Brexit thing - You will be as distant as the 'murricans from the Trangia shop very shortly...

    * The reason for Norway being a Schengen member is the simple logic fact that it's much easier to control a sea and air border compared with a 1000+ kilometers of land border. Not even the Nazis could keep that border closed during WWII - and they had a violent habit of shooting first and asking questions later. The border have been 'open', and successfully to that, ever since the Nordic passport free travel treaty of 1948 or so. So consensus in the end was that it was better to have Norway inside the Schengen area than outside of it...
You Brits will se the the same problem on the Irish border shortly, with border patrols, passport checks, Customs Officers etc. The lot... The Troubles of a border again?

Good to see Dogs In Action!

Er, not wishing to get caught up in the Br---t issue....but I do wonder if the EVA in the case melts if you use the case as a cosy to keep dehydrated food warm after it has boiled? 'Don't try this at home'---I don't want to see any melted cases!

That would be a good question for Trangia.

Bump! Just browsing the Trangia website, I see they have also added new cases made in Sweden of recycled wool... at a pretty reasonable price IMO.

Wool case 25 Large - Trangia

The temptation is strong! At some point, I know I will succumb...

Hello CCS! I'm late to this thread, but I have arrived with an answer from Trangia. Excerpt from my email to Trangia and the response I received from them:

    "Hello Trangia:
I am putting together ideas for my first full Trangia cookset and wondering about using one of the 5+ types of Trangia storage/carrying cases as a 'cosy' or insulator to keep a pot of food warm while preparing the rest of a meal.
Is this idea great or terrible?
Specifically I am wondering about the heat resistance of the materials in these cases, including but not limited to the body itself, adhesives, stitching, zippers et al."

    "Hi,
...The EVA cases would be best for this. We have tested them ourselves for that :-)
Med vänlig hälsning / Best regards
    Malin Bergman"

No... but I'm interested as well. I've seen some examples of this type of material which are very robust and others which fall apart quite easily, so haven't gone over the top on this one yet without someone else trying first...
