This stove looks fantastic but in reality looks to be a budget model. The brass is quite thin compared to a standard stove. I don't know the age of this model but I believe it to be the later of two models I know of. I used to have the same model in plain brass but with more tank inscriptions & no decal - from memory it had the towns Glasgow, Manchester & London stamped in the tank - Veritas regional offices - this one doesn't. This one has RM stamped on the burner which I'm pretty sure is original (doesn't look to have had enough use to warrant a replacement), reinforcing the theory that RM made stoves for Veritas at one time. The NRV is a little different from the norm.
I have just acquired one of these at a steam rally! Looked a little different to the standard stove design. Is this model common or desirable? Anyone know the model number?
Buzz Maybe the non return valve can help date this stove, to within a few years. Obviously it was used on the Veritas as shown, it was also used on Monitor and Valor stoves, and quite probably other British manufacturers.
