My latest ebay purchase -£3 + postage..

Took a bit of fettling - The NRV was stuck shut - not allowing me to pressurise it.

Didn't have a tool to fit it, so filled the pump tube with carb cleaner and left it overnight which did the trick.

New pump leather and a bit of a polish and away we go - coffee brewed!

It's got a horrid solder repair to the filler tube, but I don't care - it works!

The jet may be slightly enlarged, as the flame patterns not too clever, and there's a fair bit of orange in the flame without a pan on top, so I may treat it to a new one.

All I need for it now is a nice tin, or even a Tupperware type box, so if anyone knows for one (about 9" x 9" x9"), I'd love to know..

Very nice. Did you get the lovely Italian coffee pot with it too?

The coffee pot was another ebay purchase about three years ago - cost me a tenner as I recall and has been my brewing tool of choice every morning since! Ideal for mainlining caffeine first thing in the morning.. Later in the day I tend to reduce my caffeine intake (though only very slightly) by using a Smart Cafe mug with built in press..

    You sure that's a #1? It looks a helluvalot my #2.
And the #1 that a friend of mine has looks more like a discus stove.
Still, you got a pretty sweet deal on it...

You'r right - to me it looks identical to your number 2 stove - has the same big tank too! The reason I referrred to it as a number one is that it has "Prabhat.1." clearly embossed in the top of the tank...

My #2 just has "prabhat" stamped into it.
I've been thinking you might have #2 tank with an R1 burner screwed onto it, since the diameter of the burner seems a lot less.
    For comparison:
My tank is almost exactly 8 inches across at the bottom.
My flame ring is a little over 3.375 (three and three eighths) inches across at the top.

Flame ring is 2 1/4" across, tank is 6 3/4" across and 3 1/4" deep...
