    A nice little stove in its original finish; the filler cap is a different type.

    Hi Ian, I do like your Monitor Minor petrol stove...very smart indeed. I just checked the Catalogues and guess that it must date from the 1930s.
    I had never seen one before.

    Mine is the same as yours whereas I see the other Minor in the gallery looks to be the same as the 1934 catalogue illustration.

    I'll add pictures of mine for the St Georges day shoot & will be adding some really nice Monitor literature, some that features the Minor, in the lead up.

    It is a nice stove.
    I also have two that the shape of the cap is different.

    Hi Ross

    The finish on the cylinder seems to be quite distinct from the lid - is that right? On mine, both look original and I don't think it is a question of heat damage.

    Mine is very similar - but the bottom half of the windshield is more like the lid than the top half. I think heat has darkened it.

    They were described as being 'artistically finished'
