I've got an old MSR XGK stove with grey and red pump. practicaly all rubber o-rings are destroyed. I need dimensions of the small O-ring that lays between stainless tube and pump. as far as I can guess its inner diameter about 6+-0.2mm outer diameter 9.2-9.5 but this is not enough for safe working) I need strict dimensions. Thank you
Got an "old yellow" pump. O-ring dimensions are 0.250" I.D 0.380" O.D. and 0.65" thick. if its any help. I reckon 1/4 minus a few thou and fit in should do the trick. Try one and pump up hard.Open valve and have the nipple sealed with finger etc and see if it leaks. Best I can do sorry. Some-one else may be able to help more Grig Cheers Bruce
thank you Barra thats what i wanted I have a choise (numbers are I.D. and thickness in mm) OR 5,6-2,4 OR 5,7-1,9 OR 6-1,5 OR 6-1,6 OR 6-1,8 OR 6,07-1,63 OR 6,07-1,78 OR 6,4-1,9 OR 6,5-1,5 and I'm thinking on 6,07-1,78 mm it is nearest to yours 6.35-1.65.
Good Morning, Grigoriy, I congratulate you on getting your old X-GK, but also must warn you about that red and grey pump. I have written about this before, with photos to support my claims, but that red and grey pump was the absolute worst of all the bad pumps that MSR developed over the years!! I had one go horribly South on me, and within an instant my X-GK, and the entire wall on which it sat, became covered with flaming Coleman fuel!!!! Those red and grey pumps had the thinnest supports for keeping the pump intact, and also a very weak connection to the plastic ring that holds the most pressure back. I would suggest, STRONGLY, that you not use this pump, at all. The newest pump that MSR FINALLY developed, is the best they've ever offered, as it's strong, and virtually indestuctable, when compared to all other pumps made between the new one, and the oldest yellow ones. I seriously suggest you get a new MSR pump and try not to use the red and grey one. They can, and WILL come apart on you, just as my own did to me. I figure I'm more careful than most owners, as I dearly LOVE the X-GK stoves, and take very good care of them. So, if it can happen to me, it can most certainly happen to you, and to any other user of this horrible and dangerous pump!! If you send me your mailing address, I'll send you a copy of the info that MSR used to send, in which they give you a photo of the size o-ring that you need. You can just lay your choices on top of the photo, then choose the one that fits it best. That is how they used to recommend that you figured out which size you needed, as MSR offered several different sizes over the years. In any case, have fun with your stove, but please, please, please, be VERY careful with your red and grey pump!!! I hate this particular one, and wish they would all just disappear, right now. Too dangerous to use, in my opinion. Even though all other MSR pumps, between the yellow ones and the newest ones, are weak, the red and grey one was, BY FAR, the worst of the bunch!! Measure the stove fuel line. Mine is 0.250" Yanky= imperial usually. If the tighter oring works with out galling or wanting to rip out of the seat then go for it, Don't forget to lube the fuel line with a bit of spit before hand thou. (as if you needed that advice anyway ) Oops Doc chimed in I see before me....I'd take his advice on these as I think he knows what his talking about with these here XGK things. At least I'd burn kero in it as a "leak" will give you some leaway to shut off before it goes fireball when the SHTF. Barra

thank you Doc I read your paper on MSR XGK variations. I dont like this pump to. It seems like stove and pump were designed by different people. metal looks realy reliable, nothing unnecessary but plastic pump....... looks very very careless construction with very low reliability and usability. I have old variant of red-grey pump I can buy smth like this new red and grey pump but I am not shure that i need it. ermolaev(a)itam.nsc.ru it will be very kind of you
