The last of the discus stoves from the bargain box was an Opt. 45 likely of a 1950's origan. Like the other stove in the box, parts were missing; however, unlike other stoves I didn't have to solder on legs. The only major task was pump tube removal to get at a VERY stuck NRV. Here's are the pictures of this stove and the other discus boxmates. Three stoves as found along with others. The 1950's Opt. 45 is at the bottom of the box picture. Hi Steve, Lovely photos and stoves! You are now a fully-fledged stove fettler and "discus" stove owner! What a great starter collection. The person who put the box of stove parts together had a good eye for classics and the orphans were left on the right doorstep. Very Impressive, What do you do for an Encore? Best Regards, Kerophile.
Thanks for the nice comments. As for an Encore, I need to keep sniffing about for more. I also need to find some burner parts for the alcohol stove shown in the orignial box so I can revive it. Steve
