Just thought you would like to see this Turm that was found at a local car boot sale by my father. He thought that I might like it so paid the seller the asking price. As you can see it works well, although I can't really see me using it for camping. Any one fancy a guess at the price paid Nigel
Well the seller wanted £2, So a good guess Andy. It must be a bargin even though i dont like it. I will have a brew up with it just to test it, then i reckon a new home will have to be found. Nigel
Hey, Nigel, That's a very nice old Turm stove, and I think that you should definitely keep it, and give it a place of honor in your collection!! Don't see them in that condition that often, and running, to boot! Well done!! Keep 'er, though! Take care, and God Bless! Every Good Wish, Doc
I've got a little NORMA stove quite similar except that the tank is cylindrical and lies sideways at the back of the stove. I use it quite frequently at Mountain Man Rendezvous because it's so easy to light and makes no noise. It makes it dead easy to brew up a pot of coffee without having to get out of bed if the interior of one's tent is properly laid out and one does a bit of prep. before retiring. Gerry
Hi Nigel, I've got several spirit stoves of similar design including one the same as yours. They are great for espresso as they provide a gentler heat. I'll give you £3 for it as mine is missing the Turm logo insert. That's a cool 50% profit for you Cheers, Graham.
When I'm on early shift I get up at 05:15 and often use a Turm of some sort to make my early morning coffee. Stove sits next to the computer and the night before I leave out pot, sugar, coffee, mug and water and can sit there checking emails/web while my coffee silently brews. This way I'm not in the kitchen and don't disturb others in the house. Cracking stove(s) and well worth keeping and using.
