Radius 43 with silent burner. As received. Oiled the leather pump cup. Enjoy.

    Some interesting things to note:

    - wire to hold the burner cap down
    - the beginning and end of the hole pattern in the cap
    - small yellow streaks in the flame

Wow that is one superb stove! 8) Great photo's too!

Those are some interesting notes. The wire can be handy though.
Looks like your burning off some junk from the tank or burner.
Thanks for sharing this awesome stove

    Cheers,
    Jeff

I wonder why there is no flame from that centre hole in the cap?

Or is the wire so tight a fit that there is no room for vapour to escape.

The wire is pretty tight in the hole. As I move the wire it has some tension and would not move up and out of the cap, so I stopped playing with it to not damage it.

    thanks,
    sam

thats a great stove! radius seems almost compulsive (anal) about comnecting caps, flame spreaders and wind screens on #43's. its a good thing! i have a roarer twin, case's are identical.

Looks like the kero burning 'silent' burner '43' have an entirely different burner to the petrol burning '43B'...

    Radius 43B Burner

    Thanks,

    Lynn

Ah yes Sam. I have the roarer burner with the draft cover some call it that is super cool when priming with the blue flames shooting out of the one vent. The yellow flame I have is at the tips and goes away with something placed over them, replicating real life pot useage. Gotta use mine this summer, the guys will love this one. Glad I got one.
