Does anyone know where I can get replacement graphite seals for the needle valve and the seal for the spring loaded one way air valve in the pump??

I can't find any parts for this stove and want to bring it back to life. The only option I can come up with is graphite impregnated string. Any Ideas?

    thanks

    Hi,

Did you open up your pump by unscrewing the top part? Most 1942's have spare parts inside the hollow pump tube. Take care, and God Bless!

I just checked and it was full of spares including a graphite for the flame adjustment knob but no graphite for the needle valve.

    Hi & welcome to CCS

Graphite tape will probably do the trick. I use an American brand called Texfoil.

Moving this post out of The CCS Stove Reference Library » Articles - manufacturers, history, general stove interest into the Fettling Forum where we talk about repairs, maintanance etc

    Hello,

The spare needle lever graphite packing was placed with the spare generator on the storage clip on the pot supports. They all came with one. But sadly most have been used or lost over the years. They are almost as rare as ... well most of the things on this great site.

I agree with Ross. Graphite tape is your best bet. Because of the design of the lever and jam nut, it won't take much to seal it.

    Cheers,
    Jeff

    Thanks everyone!

I'm new to the site and am grateful for the quick advice/responses. I'll try and post a picture after the cleanup and reassembly.

Thanks again for the help. I just finished the restoration and added some pics the the military forum if you're interested. Now I've got 2 Coleman 520's to work on, full resto on each I think. One is in pretty rough shape and may be used for parts.
